In 2021 a racing 427 “R” code side oiler engine was discovered at Braden Engineering who worked with the famous Gordon Johncock racing team

Ford shipped the race ready engines to specific customers.  They had different markings plus obvious heavy duty changes in the block.

When this engine was located it was shipped to the owner of #3J69R143031 to be rebuilt and installed.  Work was completed January 2022
